Europe here we come!

Hi! We are getting ready for our big adventure to Italy and Croatia (also passing through Slovenia and Frankfurt, Germany). Our plan is to update our blog as often as we can with exciting trip details. Our trip begins on Tuesday, March 27th when we land in Rome at 9:15AM. (Italy is 8 hours ahead.) Our tentative trip itinerary is:

3/27-3/29: Rome
3/29-3/31: Luccia and Cinque Terre
3/31-4/1: Milan
4/1-4/3: Venice
4/3-4/4(?): Florence
4/5-4/10: Tuscany (We are staying at a Villa in Tuscany for free. One of the perks of August's job. He actually has to do about six hours of engineering consultation at the Villa where we are staying. One of the minor reasons for our trip.) While in Tuscany, we will travel to neighboring villages and hope to be in Florence for their Easter celebration. Easter was my Mom's favorite holiday so I want to make sure we take part in a celebration.
4/10-4/11: Slovenia
4/11-4/18: Croatia
4/18: We fly out of Split, Croatia and have an overnight layover in Frankfurt, Germany and head back to Denver the morning of April 19th.

Other than Rome and Tuscany, we do not have any lodging booked. We're just going to see where our adventure takes us. Neither of us has traveled abroad (we've been to Mexico but we don't count that). We are very excited! Unfortunately, Earl and Ida will not be able to travel with us - they'll stay in CB. :( That's all for now - wish us luck!
