Hello one last time from Croatia! We are in Split, the town we leave from tomorrow. We will probably stay the night in a neary town called Trogir, Split has a small beautiful area but is predominantly apratment block concrete monstrosities. For those of you following along, scroll back to the last two posts, I added pictures. Weird deal, I had to put them on a CD at a photo store and now I can access those. Not sure if the camera has a virus or just isn't playnig nice with European computers.
Anyway, we enjoyed Dubrovnik 'the Jewel of the Adriatic', but it was truly 100% overran with tourism. Regardless, very gorgeous place. We got ripped off with a glass boat ride (we wanted to snorkel so bad- just to chilly) that had a dirty bottom, and the 'beaches' in Croatia don't actually have sand. Most incredible water we have ever seen though, possiby clearer then the Carribean.
From there we went to the island of Hvar- the tranquil seaside life we were looking for. Fantastic. Rented a scooter and cruised the whole island and just had a blast. Weather has been great, marginal for swimming, but great for shorts and a t-shirt. Well, had better run. See you all back in the States (except Nate- we'll see you tomorrow night in Frankfurt!). August and Chrisite.
